It’s Natural…
Rush Limbaugh makes a fair point about oil. It’s “natural” and the ocean does have natural systems in place that tend to clean up toxins over time. Nature is pretty amazing that way.
Similarly, the human body has an amazing immune system that fights against contamination from toxins and germs. If one accidentally ingests something potentially harmful but still totally really natural like, say, dog shit, there’s no need for crazy, expensive interventional medicine. Chances are, your body will clean it up naturally and you’ll be fine. Your initial reaction might be to panic, vomit or call poison control, but no need.
I think that in order to demonstrate this super-sound line of thinking Rush Limbaugh should provide an example for his country. I am hereby calling on him to eat a pile of as-natural-as-nuts-berries dog shit and then show us how rather than dying, his body’s awesome immune system can clean up all the toxins and he’ll be fine.
